Thinking of You Week

thinking of you week september 18th to 24th 2023

Have you ever received a greeting card in the mail and felt an instant surge of joy? It's like a warm hug from a friend, a little piece of happiness that brightens your day. In a world dominated by digital communication, taking the time to send a physical card can make all the difference. Let's dive into the wonderful world of greeting cards and celebrate Thinking of You Week!

What is Thinking of You Week?

Thinking of You Week is an international weeklong celebration of the magic of sending greeting cards. It's is the perfect time to encourage people to send handwritten notes just to tell someone they are thinking of them.

Sponsored by the Greeting Card Association, Thinking of You Week takes place every year in September. And with support of the U.S. Postal Service, half a million households see the Thinking of You postmark on first-class mail each September.

Why Send Greeting Cards?

Sure, you could send a quick text or an email, but where's the fun in that? Greeting cards are like little works of art that can brighten someone's day. Studies show that receiving a handwritten greeting card has a bigger emotional impact than a text or email.  Plus, receiving a physical card in the mail is a delightful surprise in our digital age.

    Writing a Memorable Message

Now comes the fun part: writing your message! Wordplay, puns, and inside jokes are a fun way to make your message unique. Don't be afraid to get a little cheesy or sentimental. After all, it's the thought that counts. If you're stuck on what to write, a simple "Thinking of you!" will do just fine.

Here is a list of ideas for what to write in your Thinking of You card:

    • Sending you warm thoughts and good vibes.
    • Thinking of you and hoping this card brings a smile to your day.
    • Grateful for our friendship and sending warm wishes your way.
    • Sending you a mail hug!
    • Thinking of you today.
    • Remember when we [insert memory]? Those moments always bring a smile to my face, just like you do.
    • No special occasion needed to brighten your day. Sending you a little happiness, just because!
    • Hope this brings a smile to your face.
    • Friendship doesn't need a reason to be celebrated. Grateful for you, just because.
    • Here's a smile for you, just because.
